Here is the video of the presentation I gave at the recent C4GC Spending Reform Summit:

It looks like you put a lot of time and effort in your presentation Joe.
It's a shame c4gc went 0 for 72,000,000 but I'm sure Guilford County taxpayers appreciate the effort.
Let's hope to change things at the next election.
I am not sure if C4GC was quite 0 for 72,000,000. Probably at least some of the C4GC recommendations were part of the budget ultimately adopted. But clearly the vast majority were not.
I think this was still a worthy effort, however. We can now say that we provided the commissioners with the means to avoid a tax increase-- yet they obdurately refused to do so.
It will be helpful in any campaign ads against the ones that voted for the tax increase knowing that there were other options that they ignored. You would hope they would be the ones looking for these cuts. Government is totally screwed up in this country at every level, local, state and federal. Ignorance is bliss.
Brandon, there were cuts to public health, but I do not believe any were as a result of my presentation.
Arch, I agree that the opponents of the seven commissioners need to point out their vote; and they need to point out that viable alternatives to a tax increase were laid out before them. But unfortunately they chose to reject those alternatives.
Tony, really glad to read that you appreciate Joe's and C4gc's efforts. I am very serious about this. I do not know why you decided not to run for City Council but I do wish you well.

I enjoyed the presentation, Joe.
Do you know if the commissioners made any of the proposed cuts to public health?
