Sam Spagnola reports that the NC Supreme Court refrained from ruling in an activist manner today. It is fairly astonishing that it was a former state senator who brought this suit in a state like North Carolina.

Joe, the most astonishing elected official involved is actually Durham County District Court Judge Marcia Morey who granted these sham adoptions despite the clear language of the statute. The attorneys involved also should have known better. These children were made pawns for political reasons.
