On Sunday, October 3, the Life Chain event will take place along Battleground Avenue from 2:30 - 3:30 PM. I will be participating where my church gathers in front of Krispy Kreme.
This is a massive event that takes place in many cities across the United States nearly every year. It is a silent witness against the practice of legal abortion on demand, which has taken approximately 50 million lives in the United States over the last 35 years or so. This evil institution represents the single greatest injustice in modern American history.
More information about Life Chain is found here.
Joe, thanks for spreading the word on this meaningful event. Have you seen the video of this abortion survivor, Gianna Jessen? I watched it earlier today, for the first time, and I was moved to tears. Is there a higher calling than to help protect the life and liberty of innocent, unborn, precious babies? Yet, abortion is renamed "choice" and made into nothing more than another political issue.
Disgusting.

Jodi, I saw Ms. Jessen speak during the early '90's, probably when she was a late teenager, at a crisis pregnancy center function in Roanoke. It was very powerful. She has made this almost her life's calling.
We can speak of all the issues regarding the economy and the advancement of socialism in the United States, and we do. But 50 million lives taken unjustifiably makes it all pale in significance.

What a wonderful, prayerful and positive day we had glorifying His name in defense of unborn Americans. Shannon Hills Chapel was represented in front of Fidelity Bank.
Thanks for supporting this beautiful outpouring of support for His purposes.
PS- unofficial count of positive to negative gestures- 49/11...

Jerry, thank you very much for being there. Yes, the negative gestures by passing motorists can be pretty vulgar and hateful; but they thankfully are outnumbered by the positive gestures, by far.
We had 90 people there from Lawndale Baptist. I have no idea how many participated among all the churches present.
This is a great event and a great witness. It is a very small sacrifice of time compared with the awfulness of what we are witnessing against.
