Here is the YouTube of the County Commissioners' meeting that demonstrates Linda Shaw's support of the bonds back during 2008. Her recent efforts to make it appear otherwise are inconsistent with her comments in this video.
Here is the "smoking gun": (HT: Keith)
Hmm the video is really interesting.. :)

Ouch......

Yep, Abner, it appears pretty conclusive. She expresses hope that citizens will vote in favor of the bonds, and acknowledges it will likely require a tax increase. That would invalidate all of the claims she made recently with respect to her verbal disagreement with her opponent, Sam Spagnola. She was effectively claiming she did not do these things.
I hope District 3 voters take note.

Hey Joe, I didn't have a chance to check the N&R this morning for the story that accurately reflects what Linda's position actually was, or what she stated is was, back in 2008. Was it there?

I didn't see one, Steve. It seems this needs to be reported to clarify in the minds of readers what the record truly is.

I looked for the YouTube video to be posted on their website too. It wasn't there.

FTR, I want to thank Roch for actually capturing the video for me. Keith and I were both working on the edit at the same time.
