I'm sure you've seen JR's latest: http://www.news-record.com/blog/56184/entry/63059

Too bad I'm banned over there.

The MSM are too busy hitting on two Republican adult married men who had affairs with two adult consenting women to report on the serial rape of a five year old child. I was physically ill after reading this story. The moral decay in our infiltrated colleges and now our media is appalling. However FOX News is growing by leaps and bounds and the others are losing ratings at the same rate. Which shows that the American public are not stupid and are quickly becoming aware of what is happening in our country.

I also read a report that 60% of Americans now get their news on line.

Obama has just got to get control of the Internet somehow, and you can bet he will. As the voice of the people the Internet is dangerous. Then again as the trouble in Iran shows so are cell phones. There may be a way to beat this guy after all.

Mary, my interest was aroused with the "diversity" headline yesterday, but then I realized after reading the story it was not what the headline suggested.

Brenda, it is amazing that there has been a near-complete media blackout on some of the most important details of this story. It would seem that, at the very least, the regional media would be interested since it is a Duke story. If you click back through the links to the column by Mike Adams on Townhall.com, it is an awful situation that raises many questions.

You and me both, Joe. JR & company know how to push the buttons.

WHERE is the accurate reporting on the Duke story? Why has it been buried?

As I've said before (and I genuinely believe it or I would not be so bold/perhaps foolish as to say it again publicly), if I had been a young black Pediatrician done wrong by a bunch of fatcat white men running a hospital in a Southern mill-town, the GSO N&R (at that time, embodied by Ethan Fiensilver), would have been ALL over the story "like white on rice".

If we are going to start talking about how race colors the dialogue . . . especially now . . . in this oh-so-progressive era of "change" . . . then we've got to start talking about REVERSE discrimination - ESPECIALLY in terms of how the MSM picks, chooses and colors stories.

The politically-correct get so wrapped in in "victimology" that REAL victims are ignored (unless, of course, they fight back).

Just ask the firefighters in New Haven.

Mary, this is a very important story because this was a household in which there was apparently an adoption by a gay couple-- and the child involved had, in fact, been adopted.

While the overall societal incidence of sexual abuse in households in which gay partners have adopted children cannot be gleaned from one single case, the public needs to know about this. The public needs to be aware this happened, and begin the process of considering and deliberating on the topic.

Well, Joe, most of the child (physical and sexual) abuse I have seen in my time has been committed by straight men.

The gay couples I've encounterd (usually women) have ALWAYS been very loving and appropriate parents.

But the story is the story. It should be told completely.

Let the chips fall.

"The public needs to be aware this happened, and begin the process of considering and deliberating on the topic."

That's not allowed in these days of "victimization" and identity politics.

It made DRUDGE.

I too was upset that this happened with a gay couple who had adopted this child as it will add fuel to the fire that gays are more inclined towards sexual child abuse. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. All the studies and stats show that child porn and assault is far more likely with heterosexuals.

None the less a child was brutalized and I sincerely hope the people involved are strung up by their testicles. BB

I think the point must be made that men living in a home with children who are not their own can be a set-up for this type of thing. Adult males in homes in which cohabitation is taking place; and also adult male step-parents can pose a special risk to children.

Brenda, I am not sure about the premise that child porn and assault are more likely with heterosexuals on a per capita basis. Yes, there are MANY more heterosexual men than homosexual men living with children, so in absolute numbers, your statement is probably correct; but I am not sure that it is true on a per capita basis, and I am not sure it has been studied well.

It would be difficult to convince me that it is wise to place a young boy in the home of two gay men to live. Whatever data that exists is probably very limited, because our social experiment with these children is very new. But I would like to know with more certainty.

Placing a young boy in the care of two adult men who enjoy sex with other males is inviting abuse.
