Some interesting links on the continuing economic travails:
1. Mr. Dawn Treader says the UN is considering a new global reserve currency; and muses regarding the serious implications of the American dollar being worth a lot less than it had been in the past.
2. Newsbusters notes the message conveyed by the Tea Party movement; and the failure of the MSM to cover it. (HT:Fred).
3. Richard Brookhiser, a New York based writer with a keen interest in history, says Timothy Geithner is no Alexander Hamilton.
4. And Kevin Williamson demonstrates how and why Wall Street and big business have politically gone Democrat; and how that explains some of what we are now observing on the national stage.
"the UN is considering a new global reserve currency" Did you read my post referring readers to: The End Of Money

I stated that it was a long article but it gives the history of this movement and predicts it. It didn't get many hits so I may try posting again with some pertinent quotes, especially in light of this article. BB

Yes, Brenda, I saw your post, and you have been doing a great job on the slew on national and international issues that are arising with the new administration.
I find it worrisome, as is indicated in the Dawn Treader's thread, that the international community is losing confidence in the US dollar, because that means we could have some serious repercussions economically.
