An Obama-Related Cover-Up?
Recall that Barack Obama was once tapped by former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers to chair a Chicago-based educational foundation called the Annenberg Challenge.
Stanley Kurtz decided he wanted to review the records of this foundation, which are housed at the University of Illinois at Chicago library. He was initially told he could do so. But when he traveled to Chicago, he was told he would not be permitted to see or copy the documents-- because "access to the collection (was) closed".
The concern is how the foundation's grant monies were dispersed; if it elucidates any further ties Obama has with radical organizations; and whether the funds were used to reward political cronies or supporters. In fact, Ayers' own projects apparently received some of this money.
Ordinarily, the mainstream media gets it tentacles up with the appearance of a cover-up, and begins to pounce-- and especially if the suspected culprit is a Republican. In this particular case, a liberal Democrat running for president is at least tangentially involved, so it will be interesting to see how the media covers this story-- if at all.
Update: Bubba has more.

Hillary's campaign tried to gracefully leak much of this "stuff" on Obama in the primaries, but most of it backfired on them. They had a problem leaking bad stuff on a fellow Democrat and still trying to win. As it turns out, they probably knew about it, but couldn't find a good way to get into the public realm, as the MSM was rooting for Obama. Hillary had stuff on Obama and couldn't use it. Now, we see that some of it that they leaked is being attributed to Republicans and George Bush; two easy boogies for the media.

Stormy, I really don't think it matters who "goes public" with all this information. The fact is that Obama is vying to fill the top elected office in our nation, and to be the leader of the free world.
It is mandatory that the general public has access to all this information. His background needs to be known inside-out, upside-down, regardless of whether his supporters like it or not, regardless of whether it is pretty or not, regardless of whether it appears impolitic.
Hillary made one very clumsy attempt at bringing up Rezko during the debate, and it made her appear mean. Few knew what she was talking about, and few had any context at that time. It came off terribly, and she was not able to demonstrate precisely what the problems were in a debate setting. It came off as a below-the-belt hit.

Keith, the fact that the organization is a non-profit-- and also the fact that the University of Illinois is a public institution-- should mean that access to these documents ought to be unhindered. It apparently is not working out that way.
People need to ask-- why? Indeed, the media needs to ask this question, and find the answer.
